Financial Literacy for Uncertain Times: Resources From Our Roundtable Discussion
Our midday roundtable discussion on April 29th, Financial Literacy in Uncertain Times, had over 60 sign-ups and an excellent exchange of resources and perspective. The challenge of a rapidly shifting economy and benefits landscape has no easy solutions, especially for the more vulnerable populations. It is through community that we can provide both moral support and practical resources. Thank you to everyone who joined us during the lunch hour and contributed to discussions!
Below are the links to the slide deck, the video recording, and the resources gathered during the event:
Resources Shared During the Event:
- One of our most important resources is community. While AI tools and online budgeting apps can certainly be helpful, heading to your local library and speaking with a librarian to assist with identifying local support organizations specific to your concerns was a recommended action step.
- Project Citizenship is available to help with Citizenship applications and fee waivers.
- National Debt Relief is an organization that helps people pay off their debt.
- Council of Nonprofits Executive Order List
- Mass NonProfit Net News
- Resources: Fraud Prevention Guide
- Finally, MetroWest Nonprofit Network has provided a vetted resource list specific to post-inauguration concerns.
