Empower women & girls to improve their financial health to create a more secure future for their families & communities.

Effective date: July 27, 2026

Women’s Money Matters is committed to making our programs and our digital presence usable by everyone, including people with disabilities. Financial education should not be out of reach because a website is hard to use, and many of the women we serve access our programs on a phone, on limited data, or in a second language.

Our standard

We work toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. We treat this as an ongoing effort rather than a finished task, and we review accessibility as we build and update pages.

What we have in place

  • An accessibility toolbar is available on our site, letting you adjust contrast, text size, spacing, and other display settings, and remembering your choices between visits
  • Language options. Our website offers on-page translation, and our program enrollment and volunteer forms are available in English, Spanish, and Portuguese
  • Keyboard navigation and screen readers. We aim to keep pages navigable without a mouse, with meaningful headings, descriptive link text, alternative text on meaningful images, and visible focus indicators
  • Responsive design so pages work on phones and tablets as well as desktops
  • Human alternatives. If any part of our site or forms is difficult for you to use, a person on our team will help you complete it directly

Known limitations

We want to be honest about the gaps we are still working on:

  • Some embedded third-party content, including social media feeds, embedded video, and certain forms, is not fully under our control and may not meet the same standard
  • Some older PDF documents and reports may not be fully tagged for screen readers. Contact us and we will provide the information in an accessible format
  • Machine translation is provided as a convenience and may not be perfect. Our program forms use human-reviewed translation where available
  • Some older pages and images predate our current standard and are being updated over time

Tell us about a barrier

If you encounter something on our site you cannot use, we want to hear about it, and we will treat it as a priority. Please tell us the page address, what you were trying to do, and the device, browser, or assistive technology you were using.

Email: [email protected]
Phone: 617-297-7376

We aim to acknowledge accessibility reports within five business days and will tell you how and when we expect to address the issue. If you need information or help that our site cannot currently give you, we will provide it another way, including by phone or email.

Formal complaints

If you are not satisfied with our response, please contact us again and ask that your concern be escalated to our leadership team. We take this seriously and would rather hear from you than have you go without.
