Effective date: July 27, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how Women’s Money Matters Inc. uses cookies and similar technologies on womensmoneymatters.org and our related sites. It supplements our Privacy Policy.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They let a site remember your actions and preferences, keep you signed in, and help the operator understand how the site is used. Similar technologies include pixels, local storage, and tags.

The cookies we use

Strictly necessary

These keep the site working and secure and cannot be switched off. They support page delivery and caching, protect against malicious traffic and spam, and maintain your session when you sign in to our program portal. Our portal uses a session cookie to keep you signed in after you click the one-time link we email you.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4, deployed through Google Tag Manager, to understand how visitors find and use our site, which pages are useful, and where people run into trouble. This helps us improve how women find our programs. These cookies collect information such as pages viewed, time on site, approximate location, device and browser type, and referring source. We use this in aggregate and do not use it to identify you personally.

Functionality

We use tools that remember your preferences, including our website translation tool, which stores your chosen language, and our accessibility tool (UserWay), which remembers accessibility settings such as contrast or text size so you do not have to reapply them on each visit.

Embedded and third-party content

Some pages include content served by other companies, which may set their own cookies. This includes our social media feed, embedded videos, embedded forms, our matching gift tool, and our program portal where it appears inside a page on this site. We do not control cookies set by these providers, and their own privacy and cookie policies apply.

How to control cookies

  • Browser settings. Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies, and lets you refuse third-party cookies specifically. Look under Settings, then Privacy. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the site, including portal sign-in, from working.
  • Google Analytics opt-out. You can prevent Google Analytics from collecting your data by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
  • Do Not Track. Browsers vary in how they send Do Not Track signals and there is no common standard for responding to them, so our sites do not currently respond to them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the tools we use change. When we do, we will revise the effective date above.
